  • Datafeed and API Changes:
    • NEW MARKET BY ORDER FEED – This version implements orderbook for CME and ICE exchanges.
    • Significantly reduced bandwidth for real-time and delayed streaming data when using IQFeed 6.2 when compared to IQFeed 6.1.
    • 64bit! – IQConnect (the main feed component) and all display apps are now 64bit.  We will no longer distribute 32bit versions of these core IQFeed components.
    • The bandwidth stats displayed on the Connection Manager now include all local/internet traffic for the Level1, Level2, and Lookup port requests instead of just the Level1.
    • IQFeed will now send Trade Correction messages on the Level 1 port when watching a symbol that can be used for correcting historical data.
    • With the upgrade to 64bit, the default install location has changed from Program Files (x86) to Program Files. This change means that we can no longer install “over the top” when switching from a 32bit version to 64bit version and the 64bit installer will detect this scenario and force an uninstall of the 32bit version.
    • Fixed crash in IQConnect that occurred in rare circumstances when accepting new connections from client applications.
    • Fixed error message that was sometimes generated incorrectly when requesting news headlines with text formatting.
    • Fixed an instance where IQFeed sometimes would not recover from an outage properly and instead continue attempting to reconnect indefinitely.
    • Fixed “Parameter Incorrect” message box that sometimes occurred when user tries to set a blank password.

  • Display Apps / Installer / Misc. Changes:
    • All display apps now use the 6.2 protocol for all data.
    • MarketDepth – Fixed all non-working and non-saving color, font, and gridlines settings.
    • News – Fixed bug causing the “All News” segment to not automatically select after initial load of headlines which resulted in the headlines list to not auto-populate.
    • News – Updated text of headlines search screen to correct typo and for clarity on how to enter dates.
    • News – Fixed bug causing incoming news headlines to not respect current symbol search rules the user has in place.
    • News – Fixed bug causing the news app title bar to not update using search symbols and instead just always displaying IQFeed News – IQFeed News. It will now display symbols searched for (if any).
    • Charts – Fixed bug causing charts by timeframe to not work correctly.
    • SnapQuote – Removed Short Interest field and replaced with Contract Months. This required some minor changes to the field locations on the screen.
    • SnapQuote – Fixed bug causing the last used symbol to be auto-loaded when launching other apps from snapquote (even if no symbol has been loaded yet).
    • Chains – The Put/Calls checkboxes were removed from the criteria settings dialog. The app will now simply request from the server whichever type of options is displayed at the time the request is made and will automatically refresh when the display is changed to another setting.
    • Chains – Fixed bug causing default settings to be applied on startup instead of last used settings.
    • Chains – Now saving to file correctly.
    • Time&Sales – Fixed bug related to the trade aggressor indicator (“<<“) not being displayed correctly when the “no trade aggressor” flag was received from IQFeed for this app.
    • Diagnostics netstat tab has gotten an upgrade and now shows the PID and Process Name for each connection.
    • Diagnostics Connectivity tab ping test now shows all IP addresses for our discovery servers (the first server your machine connects to) that are resolved for your domain name and pings each of them. This will help in troubleshooting cases where one server is having issues for you or where your machine has DNS cached.
    • Diagnostics Connectivity tab traceroute test now runs a traceroute to all server farms instead of just 1 and also includes a rudimentary packet loss metric (based only on 10 pings).
    • Installer – The installer software we have used for the past 15+ years did not work for our needs as a fully 64bit application so we have switched to a more modern installation software package.  This means the installation screens will be slightly different than previous versions.
    • Installer – Updated to detect custom local port settings and prompt user before overwriting back to defaults.
    • Installer – Now allows you to select your support files folder (watchlists, logfile, etc) during the install.
