DTN.IQ Workspaces Overview Help

You can customize the way in which you work by setting up DTN.IQ workspaces. A workspace is a selection of applications you want to open automatically at the same time. For example, you can have one workspace called Current News and include the News Service application. You can have another workspace called Quotes and include Snap Quote and Ticker. You can set up customized workspaces for different people, different times of the month, different industries, different securities, and so on.

For some applications, such as Watch List and Ticker, the workspace contains the application with a specified Watch List. You can have multiple instances of these applications on your workspace. For example, you can have a workspace with a Watch List for your technical securities, a workspace with a Watch List for your entertainment securities, and a workspace with a Watch List for your environmental securities. Each of those workspaces can include any DTN.IQ applications for the corresponding Watch List.

For some applications, such as Snap Quote, Time & Sales, and Chart, the workspace contains the application with a symbol. For example, the workspace can have a Chart and Snap Quote for IBM and Time & Sales for Dell. If you do not know the symbol, you can use the search function.

You can create multiple workspaces and can edit or delete existing workspaces. You can minimize your workspace applications to buttons on the Windows taskbar, restore the workspace applications to their full size, and close workspace applications. You can also have workspace applications open automatically when you log into DTN.IQ.
