Option Chain Data Columns Help

The Option Chains window can display data for calls, puts, or both calls and puts. It can display or hide calls or puts with zero volume. The window can also display or hide the Calls and Puts column headings.

You can customize the window by showing/hiding columns, freezing columns so they remain visible when you scroll, selecting the order of columns, and adjusting the width of columns.

To display or hide calls or puts data:

Using the  icon

  • Click on the Cycle Show Calls/Puts icon  to
  • Show only call data
  • Show only put data
  • Show both puts and calls data

Using the Settings Dialog Box

  1. Click on the Settings icon. 

Or

From the right mouse menu, select Settings.

The Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click on the General tab.
  2. Click on the Display Calls List and/or Display Puts List check boxes to insert or remove check mark.

To display or hide calls and puts column headings:

Using the  icon

  • Click on the Toggle Calls/Puts Header icon  to
  • Display the column headers Calls and Puts
  • Hide the column headers Calls and Puts

Using the Settings Dialog Box

  1. Click on the Settings icon. 

Or

From the right mouse menu, select Settings.

The Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click on the General tab.
  2. Click on the Display Calls/Puts Header check box to insert or remove the check mark.

To display or hide calls or puts with zero volume:

Using the  icon

  • Click on the Toggle Zero Volume Calls icon  to show or hide calls with zero volume.
  • Click on the Toggle Zero Volume Puts icon  to show or hide puts with zero volume.

 

Using the Settings Dialog Box

  1. Click on the Settings icon. 

Or

From the right mouse menu, select Settings.

The Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click on the General tab.
  2. Click on the Display Zero Volume Calls and/or Display Zero Volume Puts check boxes to insert or remove the check mark.

To hide Option Chain data columns:

  1. Click on the Settings icon. 

Or

From the right mouse menu, select Settings.

The Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click on the Puts Column Order or the Calls Column Order tab.
  2. In the Displayed Columns list, click on the columns to hide.

Tips: By default, all columns are displayed.

You can use the mouse along with the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple rows.

  1. Click on the Remove button.
  2. Click on OK.

The window is refreshed with the revised data.

To display Option Chain data columns:

  1. Click on the Settings icon. 

Or

From the right mouse menu, select Settings.

The Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click on the Puts Column Order or the Calls Column Order tab.
  2. In the Available Columns list, click on the columns to display.

Tips: By default, all columns are displayed.

You can use the mouse along with the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple rows.

  1. Click on the Add button.
  2. Click on OK.

The window is refreshed with the revised data.

To change the order of columns:

  1. Click on the Settings icon. 

Or

From the right mouse menu, select Settings.

The Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click on the Puts Column Order or Calls Column Order tab.
  2. In the Displayed Columns list, click on one more columns to move.

Tips: By default, all columns are displayed.

You can use the mouse along with the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple rows.

  1. Click on the Up or Down button to move the columns.
  2. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to move additional columns.
  3. Click on OK.

The window is refreshed with the revised data.

To freeze columns:

  1. Click on the Settings icon. 

Or

From the right mouse menu, select Settings.

The Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click on the General tab.
  2. In the Number of Frozen Columns field, enter the number of columns to freeze on the left side of both the Calls and Puts panels on the Option Chains window.

Tips: By default, no columns are frozen.

  1. Click on OK.

The window is refreshed.

To adjust column width:

  1. Point to the right column border of the field to adjust.

The cursor changes to a double-headed arrow.

  1. Press and hold the left mouse button and move the cursor
  2. Left to decrease the column width.

Or

Right to increase the column width.

  1. Release the mouse button when the desired width of the column has been reached
